Dr. Rolando Tringale is a Medical Board licensed physician and surgeon. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Tringale teaches the therapeutic benefits of cannabis at Harbor UCLA Medical Center.
Stewart Richlin attended UCLA and Southwestern University School of Law. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1985 with an award for outstanding scholarship. Mr. Richlin represents hundreds of Medical Cannabis Collectives operating under California’s Medical Marijuana Program. He has defended Collectives in Superior Court and in administrative and legislative Hearings.
DJ Short is an international known cannabis breeder and author of Cultivating Exceptional Cannabis. His award winning Delta Nine Collection includes Blueberry, a strain that has become foundational in the development of new hybrids.
Jeff Yablan is a graduate of California State University in Northridge where he received a B.A. in Journalism and a Master’s Degree in Family Counseling. Jeff was one of the founders of Southern California’s first medical marijuana patient Collective, the Los Angeles Cannabis Resource Center. Jeff Yablan’s experience as a founder, Board Member and Financial officer of the Los Angeles Cannabis Resource Center made him an invaluable resource in the development of the Medical Cannabis Caregivers educational program.
Joe Grumbine has over 30 years experience in the organic cultivation of medicinal herbs. As the founder and manager of two Medical Cannabis Collectives, he is widely known for his extensive knowledge and experience in the development and production of cannabis-based products for medicinal use.
As a Defendant in three Court trails, Joe Grumbine has gained a unique understanding of the legal pitfalls that surround California’s MMP and its implementation. He is the founder of The Human Solution International, a 501c Nonprofit organization that teaches jury nullification and organizes court support for Defendants whose Cases involve a medical cannabis defense.
Jeff Raber earned his doctoral degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Southern California in 2002. His education and experience in organic chemistry and fine chemical synthesis provides a scientific skill set that has made him one of the industry’s most valued scientists. Dr. Raber is the founder of the WERC Shop, an organization established to advance the potential therapeutic benefits of cannabis through scientific research.
Chris Van Hook is a USDA Organic Certifier who has over 30 years experience in farm development, agriculture and Mari-culture. Chris founded the Clean Green Certification Program after the USDA ruling prohibiting the “Organic” Certification of medicinal cannabis cultivators.
Karen Pike is an Integrative Medicine Practitioner with extensive experience in Naturopathic medicine. Karen’s work with patients in rehabilitation, lead her to invent and patent a floatation device that is used for aquatic exercise and rehabilitation therapy. As co-founder the Medical Cannabis Caregivers, Karen has developed and taught Classes and Workshops. Karen is a Member of the Advisory Board for the National Institute of Health (NIH) grant for the Study of Cannabis Use Among Young Adults in Los Angeles.
As Instructor for the Medical Cannabis Caregivers Cultivation Workshop since 2010, Sunny has empowered hundreds of qualified patients and primary caregivers to cultivate their own top grade medicinal cannabis. He is the founder of the Good Leaf Collective. The Collective’s cultivation site was the first in Southern California to qualify for Clean Green Certification. As a State licensed Electrical and HVAC contractor, Sunny has consulted hundred of cannabis producers in setting up their grow sites.
Peter Giron has won recognition nationally and internationally for his superior strains. “High Times” and “Reefer Review” have featured his strains. Peter is a member of the Grizzly Genetics Team, a research and development group that has introduced strains that include Memphis Bell, HKS and 2010. Peter Giron is the founder and President of the Golden State Patient Association. He has provided cultivation instruction at the Medical Cannabis Caregivers since 2008.
Liz McDuffie is a postgraduate of the University of Southern California School of Public Administration. She is founder of the Medical Cannabis Caregivers and has served as Director since 2006. Liz is approved by the State of California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to teach California’s Medical Marijuana Program (MMP) as part of the CDSS Continuing Education Program. Her studies include on-site assessments of operational standards and procedures for the distribution of cannabis under the Health Canada Medical Marijuana Access Program and the California Medical Marijuana Program.
Martin Lee is the author of Smoke Signals as well as three previous books, including Acid Dreams and The Beast Reawakens. Martin is the co-founder and Director of Project CBD, an educational service that reports on developments in cannabis science and therapeutics.
The MCC was established in 2006 for the purpose of providing an educational program to support the advancement of healthcare services provided under State approved Medical Marijuana Programs.
