Ken Steinmetz, Cultivation Sage
Ken planted his first cannabis plant in ‘68 on his mother’s balcony. In the 70’s he traveled, for cannabis purposes, to Colombia, Afghanistan and Lebanon. He was arrested in 1975 for cultivation in Puerto Rico. His first major outdoor cultivation was in 1976 in Spicewood, Texas. Originally using greenhouse type barns, he has cultivated commercially in San Diego and Riverside Counties from 1984-2025. He began light deprivation techniques in 1985 and indoor hydroponic cultivation in 2005. He currently grows organically, outdoors, in large grow bags that meet Riverside County specifications. In addition to his remarkable flowers, since 2006 he has used his ice water extraction method to produce a top-self, handmade, hash.
