Many patients are unable to afford the high cost of cannabis products sold in city and state licensed cannabis retail facilities.

Liz McDuffie, Director of the Pasadena-based Medical Cannabis Caregivers (MCCDirectory.org) since 2006, is using California’s current regulations to launch CannabisMED.com, a website that enables patients to obtain cannabis products directly from local cultivators and manufacturers who supplied products for medical cannabis dispensaries operating under SB 420 from 2003 to 2018.

Although these cultivators and manufacturers are not city and state licensed, they remain a LEGAL source of cannabis products for medical patients. And what a resource they are!

California’s current Medicinal and Adult Use of Cannabis Regulations and Safety Act, under Sec 137 of the Health and Safety Code, continues to recognize cannabis cultivators and manufacturers as a legal source of cannabis; provided the products are sold exclusively and directly to patients with a physician’s approval.

CannabisMED.com was developed by McDuffie for the California Medical Cannabis Cultivators (CMCC), a Pasadena-based nonprofit association of cannabis cultivators on behalf of medical patients, to ensure compliance with the state regulations.

Patients are required to upload their physician’s approval before they can purchase products directly from the producer. Products may be delivered or picked up at the Medical Cannabis Caregivers located at 52 N. Mentor Avenue in Pasadena.

MCC and CMCC are working to get the word out to medical cannabis patients regarding this amazing source of products and savings for medical cannabis patients.
