California’s Medicinal and Adult Use of Cannabis Regulations and Safety Act (MAUCRSA), effective January 1, 2018, authorizes individual cultivators to grow on behalf of qualified patients and receive reasonable compensation.
The On-Line Cannabis Farmers Market for Qualified Patients is sponsored by the California Medical Cannabis Growers (CMCC), a nonprofit Association of cultivators who cultivate on behalf of Qualified Patients. The Association is responsible for ensuring cultivators are compliance with the State Regulations.
How Does It Work?
The ON-LINE Farmers Market for Qualified Patients provides a Directory Listing of cannabis cultivators who cultivate on behalf of Qualified Patients. The Listing provides information about the Cultivator, the services and products offered and photos of the cultivator product(s).
Qualified Patients are required to have a physician's approval for the medicinal use of cannabis to register for the Farmers Market.
Once Patients are registered, they are able to obtain contact information for any Cultivator they are interested in contacting for services. All transactions are directly between the Patient and Cultivator. No sales are made on-line.
PHYSICIAN APPROVAL FOR THE MEDICINAL USE OF CANNABIS
The California Department of Health (DPH) provides a medical cannabis approval FORM that any licensed physician may use to approve a patient's medicinal use of cannabis.
