Liz McDuffie has held the roles of Director and Instructor at MCC since 2006. As the Director, Ms. McDuffie is responsible for the development of the MCC educational program.
Ms. McDuffie founded the Landmark Research Collective in 2012, to serve as a clinical teaching dispensary for the Medical Cannabis Practitioner Program.
The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) has approved Ms. McDuffie to teach the California Medicinal and Adult Use of Cannabis Regulations and Safety Act (MAUCRSA) under the CDSS Continuing Education Program for the Re-certification of Health Care Facility (HCF) Licensees and Administrators.
Prior to her work in the medical cannabis industry, Ms. McDuffie enjoyed a successful career as a development officer, educator and entrepreneur. Ms. McDuffie established and operated two Pasadena businesses: Ritz Resale, a women’s consignment clothing store and McDuffie’s Moving & Storage, a commercial moving and storage company. Prior to her entrepreneurial career, Ms. McDuffie served as Development Officer for Scripps College, as the Director of Donor Prospect Research at the University of Southern California, as a Program Development Specialist for Pasadena City College, as an Instructor at the US Army Education Center in Germany, and as a teacher for the Pasadena Unified School District.
Ms. McDuffie has completed Postgraduate studies at the University of Southern California School of Public Administration and holds a B.A. in History and Literature from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. Ms. McDuffie holds a Certificate in Complementary an Alternative Medicine (CAM) from Pasadena City College and has completed Medical Cannabis Training at Malaspina College in Duncan, British Colombia, and has conducted an on-site study of the B.C. Compassionate Use Clubs under Health Canada’s Medical Marijuana Access Program.
Dr. Rolando Tringale is a Medical Board licensed physician and surgeon. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Tringale teaches the therapeutic benefits of cannabis at Harbor UCLA Medical Center.
Stewart Richlin attended UCLA and Southwestern University School of Law. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1985 with an award for outstanding scholarship. Mr. Richlin represents hundreds of Medical Cannabis Collectives operating under California’s Medical Marijuana Program.
DJ Short is an internationally known cannabis breeder and author
of "Cultivating Exceptional Cannabis". His award-winning Delta Nine Collection includes Blueberry, a strain that has become foundational in the development of new hybrids.
Jeff Yablan is a graduate of California State University in Northridge where he received a B.A. in Journalism and a Master’s Degree Family Counseling. Jeff was one of the founders of Southern California’s first medical marijuana patient Collective, the Los Angeles Cannabis Resource Center.
Joe Grumbine has over 30 years of experience as a producer of cannabinoid-based medicines. He is the founder of two Medical Cannabis Collectives and The Human Solution International, a 501c Nonprofit organization that teaches jury nullification and organizes court support for Defendants.
Jeff Raber earned his doctoral degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Southern California in 2002. Dr. Raber is the founder of the WERC Shop, an organization established to advance the potential therapeutic benefits of cannabis through scientific research.
Chris Van Hook is a USDA Organic Certifier who has over 30 years’ experience in farm development, agriculture and Mari-culture. Chris founded the Clean Green Certification Program after the USDA ruling prohibiting the “Organic” Certification of medicinal cannabis cultivators.
Karen Pike is an Integrative Medicine Practitioner with extensive experience in Naturopathic medicine. As co-founder the Medical Cannabis Caregivers, Karen has developed and taught Classes and Workshops.
As a cannabis cultivation specialist, Sunny has empowered hundreds of qualified patients and primary caregivers to cultivate their own top-grade medicinal cannabis. He is the founder of the Good Leaf
Collective.
Peter Giron has won recognition nationally and internationally for his superior strains. Peter is a member of the Grizzly Genetics Team, a research and development group that has introduced strains that include Memphis Bell, HKS and 2010. Peter Giron is the founder and President of the Golden State Patient Association.
Nick Morrow is qualified as an Expert Witness in the Los Angeles Superior Court regarding possession, cultivation, distribution and transportation under the California Medical Marijuana Program. Mr. Morrow is a California Licensed Private Investigator focusing mainly on criminal defense cases related to the cannabis industry.
Martin Lee is the author of "Smoke Signals" as well as three previous books, including "Acid Dreams" and "The Beast Reawakens". Martin is the co-founder and Director of Project CBD, an educational service that reports on developments in cannabis science and therapeutics.
